Cottam Brush Ltd has announced the launch of their new forklift truck brush range, designed specifically for the upkeep and maintenance of warehouses and yards.

The brushes, which are designed and manufactured at Cottam’s facility in Tyne and Wear, are easily fitted to existing forklift trucks and reduce the cost and manpower associated with manual cleaning.

The entry-level product in the range, known as the “Basic Broom” is a versatile brush ideal for use on hard, flat surfaces. The brush fill deals easily with dirt and light debris, and the low price makes it an affordable tool for warehouses large and small.

“The forklift truck range was designed in response to customer enquiries for a broom that could easily clean large areas. We have a varied customer base, including warehouse managers who were looking for a product that would reduce the manual labour required for tidy ups” says Nick Palfreyman, Cottam’s Head of Product. “When we reviewed the products that were already available on the market, we found there was a gap for a quality broom that was affordable for businesses of all sizes.”

As part of the development process, Cottam collaborated with three local businesses across a range of industries to ensure the range meets the end user’s needs. North East Fasteners trialled the Basic Broom in their warehouse in Newton Aycliffe in County Durham. After trials, Elizabeth McDermott, Business Development Manager said: “When we got the opportunity to work with Cottam to try the Forklift Brush, we were extremely excited! The brush suited the demands required by our warehouse – upon delivery and usage it did not disappoint. North East Fasteners are part of a group of fastener distributors with two busy warehouses; the Forklift brush has been an amazing asset to our team, proving to be extremely efficient at warehouse maintenance. The forklift brush is all round an easy-to-use and innovative product.”

Features and benefits of the range include:

  • Attaches to customers’ existing forklift truck machinery
  • No tools required for fitting or removing
  • Clean ups are made faster and more efficient as the broom covers a larger area in one sweep than a manual brush
  • Innovative fill patterns that collect and hold more debris
  • Each product in the range is specifically designed to best suit the task at hand, including internal and external surfaces and debris type and size
  • Products and prices to suit varying budgets

The forklift truck brush range will be available from early February, with price on enquiry. For more information visit https://cottambrush.com/forklift-homepage/.
