Meet The Candidate
The engineering & manufacturing sector finds it hard to locate employees with appropriate skills and experience. The role of EMN is to help to overcome a wide range of problems and challenges faced by the engineering and manufacturing community… so we’re piloting a new Meet The Candidate service.
The Service is open to new and potential sector employees only, highlighting those new too, or newly available for work within the sector. This could include, those without current employment, individuals at risk of redundancy, people moving to, or back to the region, individuals coming to the end of their engineering qualification and beginning to investigate paid employment opportunities.
If you are looking for opportunities in our sector, please click on the button below and complete the registration form. We will post it on our site for 6 weeks and as a community of engineering & manufacturing companies, the web page will be highlighted in our weekly member newsletter giving you some additional visibility and all we ask in return is for you to let us know if you find a position.
NB: We cannot accommodate those already in paid employment within the sector or those looking to move roles, unless you are returning to or moving into the region. This site is not aimed at consultants looking for project work or school aged pupils looking for work placements or work experience. Please use the Linked Up Portal provided by North East Ambition LinkUp Portal – North East Combined Authority for work experience or placements.

Level 3 Electrical Installation Apprenticeship
I’m a hardworking, practically minded Level 2 Electrical Installation student who is keen to learn new work and life skills. Having recently completed some work experience with some trained Electricians I am now eager to apply and secure a Level 3 Apprenticeship. From an early age, I have been interested by how electrical systems work and how they can be applied to solve real-world problems. My enthusiasm for this field has only grown over time, and I am now ready to take the next step by gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment from June 2025.
At school, I made the most progress in subjects that involved a practical element. I enjoy problem-solving and find that I can quickly understand and apply new concepts, particularly when they are presented in a structured and logical way, something I appreciate about electrical systems.

Louis Miguel Queiruga
Roles In: Project management, supply chain management, marketing team
I’ve had a chance to work in a few different roles that have helped me grow. I started with a marketing and sales internship at Accapi Group, where I worked on creating campaigns, engaging with customers, and analyzing data to help improve our marketing efforts. I also spent some time as a real estate assistant in Spain, helping clients find properties, taking photos for listings, and promoting the properties online. I worked as a customer service rep at GK Hair & Beauty, handling calls, scheduling appointments, and making sure customers had the best experience possible. I even got experience with Lean principles during a management trainee role at Freudenberg, where I learned a lot about efficiency and problem-solving.
I’m currently studying Business Management at Northumbria University, where I graduate in June.
