Welcome to our June newsletter!

It’s certainly been a busy June! We have exhibited at some fantastic events, started a number of new client projects and delivered workshops with partner organisations such as Edge Innovation and the Tees Valley Business Challenge.

We are pleased to announce that we are working with Palintest, the pioneering water analysis technologies developer and manufacturer, which is headquartered in Team Valley and has a presence across the world. You will read more about the company in our Industry Q & A below. We have already developed a marketing strategy for Palintest and we are now supporting the company on product launches.

Katie Lee, Head of Marketing at Palintest, commented: “The Horizon Works team quickly got to know Palintest, our markets and customers and applied their knowledge into action straight away.”

In addition, we have started to work with Francis Brown, a world-leading engineering and fabrication company based in Stockton upon Tees. We will be working with Francis Brown closely to develop a new marketing strategy over the coming months.

Jamie Brown, CEO of Francis Brown, said: “Francis Brown is delighted to have appointed Horizon Works to develop a marketing strategy to support us in further driving our business forward and raising our profile. I am looking forward to the in-depth insight we will gain into our target markets and the strategic direction this will provide for all future marketing efforts.”

In this issue of our newsletter, you will find our monthly industry Q&A with Palintest, our latest blog on maximising your presence at events, a spotlight on our work within the energy sector and our upcoming events.

Maximising your presence at events

Exhibiting at events and conferences is an integral part of the marketing mix for a lot of businesses – particularly those that operate across the manufacturing, engineering, automotive, energy and technology sectors.

Exhibiting has a lot of advantages if planned properly: these include generating awareness of your business, building your profile and reaching new customers. And if done right, exhibitions and conferences can generate sales. In order to reap the benefits, it’s important you make the most out of your presence and ensure you’re fully prepared.

This blog guides you through the fundamentals of preparing for an event, maximising on your exhibition space and ensuring you put the right pre and post event marketing approaches in place so that you stand out from the crowd.

Embedding our presence in the energy sector

We have a long track record of working in the energy sector, and support organisations operating across renewables and oil and gas.

Horizon Works recently supported economic regeneration company Advance Northumberland with a PR campaign to promote the Northumberland Energy Park development site in Blyth.

We also provided marketing content for Energy Central, a partnership between Advance Northumberland, Port of Blyth, Northumberland County Council and the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult. Energy Central in Northumberland is the deep water base for businesses working across renewable energy, offshore wind, subsea engineering, decommissioning, battery manufacturing and energy storage.

In addition, we support a number of companies which work across the energy sector, including Middlesbrough-based hydraulic engineering specialist Industrial and Marine Hydraulics, Atlas Copco Rental UK, a leading provider of temporary compressed air, power, industrial steam and nitrogen, Francis Brown, a global provider of engineering and fabrication services and 3t Transform, a workforce development software and learning technologies provider, which is part of 3t Energy Group.

So, it’s no surprise that we have further embedded our presence in the energy sector and become a corporate sponsor of NOF, the UK business development organisation which helps to make connections between businesses in the global energy sector. Through the sponsorship agreement, we’ll be increasing our engagement with NOF and its membership community, and we’ll also be sponsoring the Offshore Wind North East (OWNE) Conference and Exhibition on November 9 and 10, and the event’s associated networking dinner on September 15, 2022.
