Prominent North East Manufacturing ERP System Provider Makes New Appointments

E-Max Systems, the software company providing ERP and MRP systems for manufacturing and engineering SMEs, announced today the appointment of Robert Johnston to the role of Managing Director. Johnston assumes the role from Emilio Fazzi who has served as MD since the company’s inception in 1998. Fazzi will remain with E-Max Systems, moving to the role of Chairman, where he will focus on the strategic development of the company.

Johnston has been working alongside Fazzi to ensure a smooth transition of the business and continuity of leadership. He has held multiple positions within E-Max since joining the company in 2007 as a Technical Support Analyst, including Technical Manager and most recently as Operations Director. Prior to joining E-Max, Johnston held roles in database development and information analysis.

Robert Johnston, newly appointed E-Max Systems MD said, “It is a huge honour to have been appointed Managing Director of E-Max Systems, especially at such an exciting time for the company. Last year was one of the most challenging years we have faced, at both individual and business level, but through the hard work and commitment of everyone at E-Max, we successfully weathered the storm. We are already seeing a fantastic start to 2021, surpassing expectations and I am confident we will continue to build on this success and drive the company forward.”

E-Max Systems has been designing, developing and supporting its proprietary ERP and MRP software since it was founded by engineers Emilio Fazzi and Charles Kerr in 1998. The company’s flagship software solution, E-Max ERP, is used by hundreds of businesses across the UK and internationally. Designed specifically for the manufacturing and engineering SME market, E-Max’s ERP system offers significantly more depth and functionality than other ERP software packages, with particular emphasis on key manufacturing areas such as scheduling, planning, inventory management and production control. E-Max’s highly regarded Bill of Materials (BoM) and dashboard functionality are increasingly sought out by companies aiming to drive greater efficiency across their operations.

Emilio Fazzi, co-founder and new Chairman of E-Max Systems said, “It is with great pleasure that I announce Robert’s appointment. He has made an immense contribution to E-Max Systems during his time with the company and has built a strong team that will continue to drive E-Max forward. His vision, combined with his experience in software development, business process and people management, and customer support, makes him the ideal candidate to take E-Max through the next phase of our growth and further. We have exciting and ambitious plans for the future, as we harness the power of new technologies and evolve our software to keep it at the forefront of technology. We want our customers, both existing and new, to be the real beneficiaries of our success as they continue to improve their efficiency and reduce waste.”
