
AR Power is proud to announce that it has been awarded Indirect Supplier of the Year (FY25) by global manufacturer Komatsu.
Last week, Managing Director Chris Balmer and Head of Commercial Stephen Armstrong attended Komatsu’s supplier day, which brought together key partners from across the supply chain to celebrate collaboration, share insights and discuss the growing importance of sustainable solutions within industry.
The event provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships with fellow suppliers and explore how organisations can continue working together to improve efficiency and drive progress towards more sustainable operations.
During the day, AR Power was formally recognised with the Indirect Supplier of the Year award, acknowledging the successful delivery of a solar PV installation at Komatsu’s Birtley-based manufacturing facility. A video case study of the project was also shared with attendees, showcasing the system and its impact.
The award reflects AR Power’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions with a strong focus on safety, performance and sustainability. Through its work, the company continues to help organisations reduce energy costs, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate their transition to cleaner energy.

The system will also Komatsu to reduce their carbon output by 369,994 kg of CO2e yearly and just under £400,000 on their annual energy bills.
