- What does World Options do?
We work in partnership with all the major carriers such as DHL-UPS-FedEx-DSV and many more UK and International shipping companies. We offer their services at discounted rates through a free online shipping portal. We give our customers the opportunity to compare live prices using the quoting process within the portal to either confirm their shipping costs or to book live shipments.
- What makes World Options great?
We believe that providing a great service to our customers is to be value for money and to be personable. That is why we have agreed discounted rates with our partners, and we pass on that discount directly to our customers. We also provide a full UK-based customer service team and account manager free of charge. This means that our customers can enjoy peace of mind when trying to deal with shipping issues, by contacting myself as their dedicated account manager.
- What is your 5-year plan?
Within the next 5 years I would like to help every customer that uses our portal to become Carbon Neutral or to have a proven time scale when to achieve this goal through their shipping processes. Our partners are developing their carbon footprint plans at an exciting rate and with World Options as your shipping provider, we can not only give you more cost-effective choices, but we can also celebrate the developments of our partners success by supporting their shipping methods.
- What are you looking for from your EMN membership?
I would like my membership to facilitate the growth of all our businesses through engagement at events and through personal connections. I also believe it will help me connect better with companies in our area and to help promote Northeast industry.
- What information do you want to get out to members?
We provide our services totally free of charge, without any hidden costs or subscriptions. We work on behalf of the carriers to bring you a better service. Our online portal will connect with any platform you have including all e-commerce platforms, and all shipments can be live tracked. Your account will be invoiced monthly regardless of what carriers you choose and there are no minimum or maximum criteria to shipping volumes. We also offer live quotes for any freight up to and including full container loads, so all transport costs can be brought under one account, managed by us.
- What are you going to offer back to the community?
I would like to personally visit each member’s company to discuss their shipping needs. I believe the best way to understand a customer’s operation is to see it operate, this is why the personal approach is how we work. We can setup a free account via email if they would like but we do offer the opportunity to meet and discuss in person. Our current customers are experiencing a very rewarding upturn in staff utilisation due to our customer service support. I believe these efficiencies will be felt across the community as we work together. I will also be attending upcoming events and will be very keen to promote each members business going forward.
