Education Development Trust are inviting two businesses from Engineering Manufacturing Network to present at a sector insight event for Careers Practitioners. Advanced manufacturing session will be delivered in the afternoon beginning at 2.15pm. There are 2-3 speaker opportunities available from the industry to come along and give a 15-20 min talk about their company, their own personal journey, career opportunities, skills gaps etc. This to help inform the practitioners of the skills required so they can guide young people in the right direction.
Our Sector Insight sessions have been developed to support Careers Practitioners to develop their knowledge. Each interactive session includes a sector overview, a focus on the North East and UK landscape, entry routes and future opportunities and growth areas. We also have a range of sector employers who will share their career stories, experience of working in the sector and recruitment practices. These free, in-person sessions are aimed at careers practitioners working with people of all ages.
Our team of Skills Facilitators provide a free, impartial consultancy service to small businesses in the North East, helping them to identify the skills needs, training and finance options that will help them grow.
