The shortlist for the UMi Northern Powerhouse Export Awards in association with Department for Business and Trade has officially been announced.
Businesses from across the North will come together for a black-tie dinner at the Middlesbrough Town Hall, on 28 June to celebrate the achievements of region’s top exporters.
Exporting and international trade remain high on the Government’s economic growth agenda and the awards are about recognising the excellence in those emerging, wealth creating companies that are selling their products, services and expertise in scores of overseas markets.
Nominations for the event were exceptional this year, with over 70 businesses putting their name forward to be recognised for their fantastic achievements throughout 2022.
Speaking ahead of the event, UMi CEO, Nicki Clark, said: “We’ve been delighted with the level and quality of the entries which just shows how much export growth potential there is across the North of England.”
