Businesses are being invited to attend a free event to raise awareness of the risks of cyber security breaches.

EEF has organised the event which is open to members of CDEMN.

The event is on Tuesday, July 17, from 9am to 11.30am at EEF House, Queens Park, Queens Way North, Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead, NE11 0NX

Recent cyber-attacks have had significant financial and reputational implications for some of the world’s most sophisticated businesses and UK Manufacturers are not immune from the threat. It is estimated that nearly 50% of UK firms lack advanced cyber defences and the cost of cyber security incidents to March 2016 was put at £34.1bn.

This manufacturing connect event addresses these issues and more:

  • Hear on the outputs of recent research, the implications on your business and possible actions to mitigate.
  • Hear from world leading OEM Caterpillar about their organisation’s Cyber Security journey and what they have done, through strong leadership, to protect both their staff, IP and assets.
  • Be taken through the latest cyber security intelligence and show you how your business can protect itself from an attack.
