In conjunction with our School of Computing, Engineering and Digital Technologies we are proposing hosting an Apprentice/Employer match making event at Teesside University. This is unique to Teesside University and an amazing opportunity for you to find an apprentice for your organisation.

The interest in Professional Apprenticeships is growing nationally and they provide an ideal solution to recruit, develop and retain skills within the Engineering and Digital industries. The focus of the event would be to ‘Match’ some interested apprenticeship candidates with employers who are looking to recruit an apprentice with a view to them commencing on one of our programmes in September 2023.

The Aim

The aim is to target school/college leavers and our own undergraduates to submit expressions of interest for specific apprenticeships where we have employers who have matching apprenticeship vacancies. The candidate will have been through our robust eligibility and assessment process for the apprenticeship they are interested in.

The event would be an opportunity for employers to meet, and potentially recruit/shortlist, from a pool of viable candidates.

What do we need from you?

To enable this event and make it a success we need apprenticeship roles/vacancies to offer to these candidates and a commitment to progress these onto an apprenticeship in September/October 2023.
