Promoted Event: MakeUK – HR Inform: Engaging and Working With the Next Generation
April 26, 2023 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Manufacturing is facing an acute skills shortage with an increasing number of the workforce now being defined as inactive. The sector historically has experienced a higher than average median workforce age, so it is unsurprising that half of manufacturing businesses expect between 6% and 20% of their workforce to retire within the next ten years. It is critical, now more than ever, to ensure the next generation is coming into and driving forward the sector.
This online event will provide unique insight into those firms that have successfully been engaging the next generation and also hiring the talent of the future. In this session you will hear expertise from Make UK, our partners and manufacturing business exemplars. Sharing personal experience and success of engaging with the next generation and more importantly delivering a sustainable future for their business. Additionally, outlining how Make UK’s campaign, National Manufacturing Day on 28th September 2023 can provide your business with a platform to engage with your local community.
