Engineering & Manufacturing Network (EMN) in partnership with Horizon Works, is hosting regular peer to peer specialist networking events for those working in marketing, sales, PR and brand within the engineering and manufacturing sectors across the North East of England.
Time: 12.00 – 2.00pm
Venue: Horizon Works HQ, NE23 7RZ
Ticket Price: Free
At this event, we’ll be putting internal buy-in for marketing in the spotlight…
Has your brand been truly embraced from board-level to shop floor? Are all of your customer-facing staff singing from the same hymn sheet? Are marketing activities fully understood – or are they met with cynicism? The next edition of the popular Engineering and Manufacturing Marketers’ Meet-up series will tackle a key challenge for marketers: achieving internal buy-in!
Achieving Brand and Marketing Buy-In – the Internal Challenge will provide practical guidance to marketers in engineering and manufacturing companies on how to sell the purpose of marketing internally and demonstrate results, and how to get staff in all areas of a business to embrace the marketing journey, live the brand and use company messaging and marketing assets consistently.
Horizon Works will examine the internal hurdles marketers have to overcome in developing and rolling out new brands, embedding vision, mission and values into their companies, and securing and maintaining marketing budgets and resources. Horizon Works will then guide delegates through the internal communications methods that can engage staff and help them to get behind marketing efforts.
Speaker TBC
The presentations will be followed by group sessions where delegates will be able to share their own experiences, talk through their challenges and suggest new solutions.
There’ll also be lunch, networking and plenty of our great coffee to enjoy!
Check out what else we have in store for 2024…
Wednesday 9th October – Putting the B2C into B2B marketing – bringing back traditional methods and making campaigns more fun.

Measuring & understanding your digital marketing carbon footprint – date tbc
Peer to peer activity is proven to:
• Improve understanding – when you explain a concept to someone else, you have to think about it more deeply and in a different way. This can help you to better understand the concept yourself – the power of thinking out loud!
• Increase motivation – you are often more motivated to learn when you are working with others and creating a sense of camaraderie.
NB: This event is open to members and personal invitations from the Engineering and Manufacturing Network.
