Business Durham – B2B Whistle Stop Tour
The next East Durham Business Network event will take place on Wednesday, 26th June at the recently opened Grove Restaurant at Willerby Grove, Peterlee by our event sponsors and hosts East Durham College.
The event will open for registrations from 8.30am. Â At around 9am there will be introductions by the chairs of the East Durham Business Network Ranj Gill and Gursh Kahlon. This will be followed a update from Leanne Fawcett who will provide an overview of the latest edition of the East Durham Business Magazine and other developments amongst the network.
East Durham College will be talking all things training – from Apprenticeships to AEB (Adult Education) and a brand-new pot of funding that’s available to County Durham businesses only.
The workforce development team at East Durham College have over 30 years of experience in training & skills. They will be highlighting the portfolio of apprenticeships on offer at EDC and how you access the funding. Also, they’ll be giving top tips on how to navigate the Digital Apprenticeship Service.   There are also some other pots of funded training up for grabs too – AEB and DUO – Durham Upskilling Opportunities (part of UKSPF) are available to upskill employees with vital workplace skills to be a more effective and efficient worker. They will be showing you how these can benefit your business and your staff at no cost to you!
Finally Guy Bashford from Business Durham will facilitate our B2B Networking. Â Â All businesses will be given the opportunity to provide a brief overview ;
