North East England – Engineering & Manufacturing Network (EMN), a leading community providing peer to peer support for engineering and manufacturing professionals, today announced a significant leadership transition. David Land, has stepped down from his role as Chair of the organisation to focus on other commitments. The Board would like to extend thanks to David for his unerring support and invaluable contributions over the last 9 years during his tenure.

We are also pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Bradley, MD for Dyer Engineering Limited as the new Chair of EMN and Phil Astley, MD of The Expanded Metal Company Limited as the new Vice Chair. Both bring a wealth of experience and understanding of the needs of the regions engineering and manufacturing community, but as existing Board members, some clear continuity. Both Richard and Phils’ vision, leadership and expertise in the field will be instrumental in guiding the EMN community in its ongoing growth and provision of peer to peer support and their collaborative approach and strategic insight will be invaluable as we move forward.

David Land said “As EMN Chair, for the last 9 years, I’ve enjoyed guiding the Network as it has developed year on year to be such a successful community with our two annual showcase events of EMConf and EMCON. Although stepping down as Chair, I plan to remain an active ambassadorial member of the network but know the community will continue to thrive with the guidance of Richard and Phil.”

Richard Bradley said “I’m delighted to be appointed as the Chair of EMN having been Vice Chair for 9 years. As a peer to peer community of like minded engineers and manufacturers, I have gained invaluable support from other members of the EMN network and I’m looking forward to that continuing as we move to a new phase in the development of the Network.”
