NEMCA

We have been successful in gaining our own Direct Contract with the North East Combined Authority for Adults Skills Funding and Free Courses for Jobs. This is a massive achievement and will compliment our subcontract provision with our college partners.

This will enable GEM to provide training to the whole North East Region, spanning from Northumberland down to Bishop Auckland and across to Consett, and everywhere in between.

The training will be for unemployed learners wanting to get into work and also for employed learners who are interested in upskilling their knowledge or skills to progress in the workplace. We will also be able to offer new qualifications to broaden our delivery models and offer something new to our clients.

 Skills Bootcamp

Skills Bootcamps are 2 week courses, designed specifically to meet employer needs to support the development of current staff or to provide skills to candidates ready to take the next step in their career.

The training consists of both practical and theory-based learning, covering manufacturing fundamentals, lean manufacturing techniques, using project management tools and techniques, team working, problem solving and communication skills.

The bootcamp training is designed to support future development of staff and enable progression onto a new job,  an apprenticeship, or promotion within current role.
