S&A Fabrications has announced the acquisition of Prism Planning, a respected planning consultancy operating across the North East and beyond.
Founded in 2008, Prism Planning has built a strong reputation over nearly two decades for delivering high-quality planning advice and innovative solutions across commercial, industrial, agricultural and renewable energy sectors. While its core client base spans Yorkshire and the North East of England, the consultancy has also undertaken specialist work nationwide, including renewable energy projects and developments requiring Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
The acquisition forms part of the continued growth of the P&K Construction Holdings Group, of which S&A Fabrications is a key part. The Group is active in the delivery of large-scale and prestigious commercial, industrial and agricultural projects across the UK.
Prism Planning will continue to operate independently as a specialist planning consultancy, retaining its established brand, team and client-focused approach, and remaining open to clients across all sectors and regions, while benefiting from the backing and ambition of the wider Group.
As part of the transition, and with the retirement of Prism’s long-standing Principal planned in due course, the company has commenced the search for a new Principal to lead the business into its next phase of growth.
The role represents a significant opportunity for an experienced planning professional to head an established consultancy with a loyal client base and strong regional foundations. The successful candidate will act as the key source of planning advice within the business, overseeing operations, advising clients on the UK planning system, preparing and submitting planning applications, leading negotiations with planning authorities and statutory consultees, and representing clients in appeals and enforcement matters.
