Human capital is fundamental to the success of our organisation, since inception in 2009 and expansion in 2017 encompassing a training division, which was a direct result of labour and talent shortages in the northeast.

GEM Partnership has delivered people solutions to organisations across the Northeast, with results that raise the bar for our clients. We are talent specialists – either finding it or growing it, or a combination of the two.

Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2022, coupled with business growth in recent years, has led us to be awarded funding contracts via the Northeast Mayoral Combined Authority, to give over 800 people training opportunities ultimately leading to employment within the Northeast.

At GEM Partnership we are incredibly proud of the service we provide to our clients ensuring that we foster a complete partnership approach and aim to become not only a service provider, but a complete extension of their business. This is to ensure every one of our partners receives a personalised service which fulfils all of their employment and training needs.

Being embedded within our partners structure allows us to fully understand their workforce culture, strategic goals whether short or long term and how we can support the achievement of these. This allows us to be proactive in our delivery by identifying any potential improvements or opportunities for upskilling of the workforce and enables us to provide a more bespoke approach, linking our service and delivery back to our partners cultural dialogue and strategic aims ultimately provides the best possible return on investment.

Given that the majority of our partners are within the manufacturing or warehousing industry, which see heavy fluctuations in demand, production or workloads and in some temporary staffing cases; turnover of staff, our approach is best placed to react to any business requirements and still provide the highest level and continuity of service with well trained and work ready staff.

We are confident that our provision has been transformational and has helped grow the skill level, across both temporary and permanent staff as well as addressing industry skills shortages. Whether this is via a collaborative effort with our partners developing bespoke apprenticeships, which create opportunities for progression into permanent roles or tailored pre-employment training which factors in job specific delivery and client induction.

As part of our contract with EPNE we now deliver skills bootcamps in advanced manufacturing automation, advanced manufacturing excellence, leadership excellence and lean six sigma.

Our 2-week programmes are designed in collaboration with our clients, including co-delivery. Our most successful bootcamps are delivered on our client’s premises which enables us to offer a factory tour and on the job training to bring the programme to life.

The Education Partnership North East says: “GEM Partnership are highly reliable and a trusted partner. The team are highly personable, professional and responsive, providing high quality training to local residents to meet the needs of local employers in NECA priority sectors with 95% progressing into sustainable employment.”
