The 24-year-old, from Hartlepool, has secured a full-time role with Hitachi following the completion of his Level 3 Apprenticeship in Plate Welding.
Tim, a former student at the town’s English Martyrs Catholic School, said: “I have had a good apprenticeship overall and I have felt fully supported through the programme.
“The college was very accommodating, especially with the challenging End Point Assessment. I was lucky to have been offered the opportunity at Hitachi; it is a well-known company and I have learnt a lot throughout my apprenticeship.”
His Tutor/Assessor Gary Bower added: “Tim studied at Level 3 in Welding. He was very quiet to begin with but has grown into the role. Tim has developed into an exceptional welder and the distinction grade reflects his hard work and dedication.”
