1. What is your role at CMYK?
Regional Sales Director for our North East office.
2. What does CMYK do?
CMYK are a Business Technology and IT Services Provider. We have been established for over 25 years and have 6 regional offices, with our most recent opening early in 2021 in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Our core product offerings are Managed Print & Scanning Services, including hardware and support, IT Services, Helpdesk & Support, Cloud Telecoms, Connectivity and Visitor Management Solutions. All of our services are supported by our in house team of experts. We are a Microsoft and Apple Accredited Partner.
3. What gets you out of bed in a morning?
Every day is different in my role, I’m up bright and early to get prepared for attending client meetings, online meetings or networking events. If I have a quiet morning at work, I’ll get up early to ride my horse or walk the dog before going to the office; I think it’s great to exercise before work if possible as it really sets you up for the day ahead and gets you into a positive mindset. I love my role at CMYK and the variety that the job brings. I enjoy every aspect of my role but for me the best part is being able to a difference to my customers business, helping them solve a problem, delivering exceptional service and developing long term relationships based on trust.
4. What makes CMYK different?
I think what makes CMYK different is firstly our company ethos, and secondly the ability that we have to provide all of the core technology offerings that a business needs ‘under one roof.’ We really do strive as a business to be the very best at what we do. We are very customer-centric and so the customers’ needs are always put first at CMYK, we are very agile and this means that we can go above and beyond to help our clients achieve their business goals around their IT and Business Tech.
Also, being able to offer Print, IT Services, Telecoms and Connectivity to our clients means it’s easier for them to manage supplier relationships. These services obviously go hand in hand so using one supplier for everything can increase productivity and save on costs and downtime which our customers really see the benefit of.
5. What are the businesses greatest strength?
Our businesses greatest strength is undoubtedly our dedicated team! All of our employees go above and beyond every single day for our customers. There is such a great team ethos at CMYK, everyone is motivated to provide the best service possible for our clients which means we have excellent customer retention. Our team are forward thinking, positive, and have a flexible work attitude which means the job always gets done, no matter how big or small.
6. What are your primary markets / sectors?
Our primary market sectors are manufacturing, professional services and education. However, we are lucky in the fact that most businesses need IT Services and Business Technology to be able to function so we do operate over multiple sectors. We can provide all levels of services, from simply providing a laptop or desktop printer to operating on behalf of our clients to be their full IT Service Desk or department.
7. Do you have growth plans for the future?
We certainly do! Because of the increase in demand for our services, the business has grown significantly through the pandemic and we have taken on additional staff to be able to respond to increase in demand. Our Newcastle office has had some amazing successes over the last 6 months and we are looking to take on additional sales and support staff later this year as we continue to grow our client base in the North East region.
