Promoted Event: Manufacturers Ramble – On 3! Uniting the North East Manufacturing & Engineering Industry to raise awareness for Suicide Prevention Charities!
This year’s 10K Manufacturers Ramble – ON taking place on the 23rd of May at 2pm from Souter Lighthouse Whitburn.
Theo James Recruitment and AR Power, along with individuals within the Northeast manufacturing industry will embark on a 10km walk from Souter Lighthouse, Whitburn, to raise awareness and funds for two charities ‘Man Health and ‘Andy’s Man Club’.
This year will mark the third year of the ramble. Last years ramble received a huge turnout with over 120 people from the North East Manufacturing and Engineering industry turning up to support, this year we hope to raise that number further.
To make the walk even more impactful, we will have discussion points every couple of miles. These prompts encourage participants to engage in meaningful conversations about mental health.
Last year these discussions were not just theoretical; they were grounded in real experiences and provided practical advice on supporting mental well-being in the workplace and beyond.
The event is set to highlight the human side of the manufacturing industry, despite the tough exteriors often associated with this field, participants acknowledge that everyone, at times, needs a helping hand or someone to listen. The walk will foster a sense of community and understanding, breaking down barriers and promoting a culture of openness. Last year’s event raised £3,116 for our chosen charity and we hope to out do this, this year.

We hope that this walk will inspire others in the industry to take similar initiatives and support mental health charities like Man Health and Andy’s Man Club. Together, we can create a more understanding and supportive environment for everyone.
