Social media content, PR, animations and the production of an event programme were all part of industrial marketing specialist Horizon Works’ support for EMCON last month.

The engineering and manufacturing showcase, organised by EMN, was held on September 18 at Sunderland Live, Houghton-le-Spring, and attracted delegates from SMEs, OEMs, academia, training providers and research organisations.

To support the event’s marketing, Horizon Works revamped the EMCON visual style, refined the event’s messaging, secured press coverage in regional and trade media, managed a LinkedIn advertising campaign, delivered social media from the conference sessions and produced the extensive events programme, which was distributed on the day.

Samantha Vassallo, Managing Director of Horizon Works, said: “EMCON is an event which is very close to our hearts, and we have exhibited at it for many years.

“It’s a place where we’ve sparked off new partnerships, cemented relationships and made valuable connections across the engineering and manufacturing supply chain. Many of our clients return to EMCON every year for the same reasons.

“We’ve always greatly enjoyed working with the EMN team and the membership, having brought our marketing expertise to the 2023 and 2024 EMCON events, and we were proud to have contributed to this year’s event by utilising the strengths of our multi-disciplined team.”
