- What does iqms Learning do?
We deliver Training & Consultancy in Management Systems, Auditing and Environmental Sustainability.
For you, that could be;
- Building a Certified ISO Management System for your business
- Training your staff to get value from their Systems
- Supporting you on your Environmental Sustainability journey
Whatever your organisational needs or ISO standards we will focus on helping your staff identify opportunity and deliver improvement.
This process often begins with ensuring your Management System works for your business. A system that doesn’t enhance process efficiency wastes time, money and the good will of staff.
We deliver industry recognised qualifications; CQI and IRCA, BRCGS, IOSH, Highfields and IEMA, bespoke courses, coaching and auditing. Armed with knowledge and skills, decision making is improved, risks are mitigated and opportunities are exploited.
Your organisation will be better equipped to make informed strategic plans and have the inhouse QHSE expertise to see those plans effectively executed.
Our public courses, delivered face to face in classrooms or remotely via Zoom, offer the most popular training to support your ISO or Food Safety Certifications. Alternatively, we can deliver the same curriculums to your staff on your site with the opportunity to conduct live audits as opposed to case studying modelling.
If the learning is more important to you than third party qualification, we can tailor, or develop bespoke courses to meet your specific needs.
- About Us
In the fairly recent past, our business was the L&D arm of an international Certification Body. As part of it we saw the best, and worst, of the Certification Industry.
At its best, Certification to International Standards can be a critical tool for operational excellence and business growth. At its worst the Certification industry can be a costly exercise in box ticking.
Now owned by staff, and independent of a Certification Body, we have the opportunity to really make a difference to our customers; to understand their needs and equip them to drive improvement.
For us this is huge.
Our consultants and tutors thrive on seeing their support effect change for the better. We can develop far closer relationships with our customers, understand the pain points of their business processes and support their L&D needs more effectively.
- What are you looking for from your EMN membership?
EMN membership puts us amongst people who;
- Know the value of an effective management system
- Know the necessity of people skilled in using it
- Know the impact of a fired-up team looking for a better way
EMN members know the value of well-trained auditors and skilled QHSE team members.
Being amongst energised capable people with a plan to achieve cannot be underestimated.
- What information do you want to get out to members?
We know people are busy and we are here to make things easier.
Maybe you’re planning ISO Certification and need some support. Maybe you need help integrating your existing systems. Maybe you’ve new members of your QHSE staff to train.
Occasionally a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) can be instrumental in allowing a clear-headed look at your organisations capability to meet its future goals.
At this TNA we can discuss your organisations plan for staff L&D; is there a plan, what is the current focus, what is the destination and how can we help you get there?
There is no charge and at the very least it will bring organisational objectives and resource capability into focus.
This can be a 20 minute phone or a full review on site, either way it starts with a dialogue.
If iqms Learning is able to support you immediately in training, consultancy or outsourced internal audits we surely will, but we’d be content in the knowledge that you would call us if a future need arose.
All Engineering & Manufacturing Network members are eligible for 20% off our prices for training, coaching, consultancy and audits.
- What are you going to offer back to the community?
Based in Sunderland and advocates for the North East we actively support local initiatives.
We regularly voice the need for transferable skills learning of management systems to be addressed at a younger age in anticipation of tomorrows workforce needs – selling the virtues of a career in QHSE to school children.
We are active members of the Sunderland Voluntary Alliance, supporting the QHSE needs of the regions charity sector.
We are ‘Living Wage’ employers and our preferred charity partner is Sunderland AFC’s Foundation of Light.
