  1. What makes Dyer great?

Our Smarter Stronger Together principles underpin everything we do across our business. They are the guiding principles that define how we operate and interact with the world. Serving as our core DNA, they shape our culture, drive our decision making, and unite us in our shared purpose. This unique approach, combined with our Durham based manufacturing hub, allows us to integrate advanced manufacturing practices, delivering global engineering projects.

  1. What is your 5 year plan?

Our five year plan is focused on sustainable growth, continuing to support global companies across our key sectors of Energy, Defence, Transport and Process. Our goals include increasing turnover, growing our team by 35%, and expanding our apprenticeship programme, with a strong emphasis on encouraging local talent and inspiring the next generation of engineers.

  1. What are you looking for from your EMN membership?

From our EMN membership, we’re looking to build strong collaborations with local suppliers, creating opportunities for more regional partnerships. We value peer-to-peer support, enabling us to share experiences, tackle industry challenges together and strengthen the regional manufacturing network. Knowledge sharing is also key – we want to exchange insights, stay ahead of industry developments and continuously improve the way we work.

  1. What information do you want to get out to members?

We want to showcase the exciting global projects we’re delivering from Durham, highlighting how we’re flying the flag for UK and regional manufacturing. We are always open to collaborate and eager to share knowledge with fellow members, strengthening the network and driving industry together.

  1. What are you going to offer back to the community?

We’re keen to support our local supply chain, with over half of our suppliers based within a 20-mile radius of our site, helping to strengthen the regional economy. We have a strong focus on developing local talent, creating opportunities for apprentices and skilled workers within our region. Additionally, we actively support STEM initiatives for local schools, inspiring and encouraging the next generation of engineers. Alongside this, we continue to give back to our community through fundraising for charities and supporting local projects.
