A&P North East has announced it has launched its 2024 apprentice recruitment campaign.

Based on the River Tyne in Hebburn, South Tyneside, A&P Tyne operates the largest commercial dry dock on the East Coast of England.

A&P Tyne is part of the leading global marine business APCL Group and specialises in ship repair, conversion and fabrication services across the marine and renewables sectors.

The facility is offering a range of employment opportunities for apprentices either leaving education or those looking to change career. It also offering positions in established roles across all areas of the business.

A&P Tyne is currently recruiting for a number of apprenticeship positions including welders, platers, an electrical fitter and pipe fitter as well as a health and safety apprentice.

Apprentices at A&P have the opportunity to earn while they learn, receiving specific training, experience and recognised qualifications that will kickstart their career.

Washington-based engineering training provider Seta is supporting A&P Tyne with the full apprenticeship recruitment process, and will be working in partnership with the company to deliver the apprenticeship programmes.  Successful apprenticeship applicants will study and train with Seta in their first year, where they will be prepared for working life at A&P Tyne.
