Durham Oktoberfest, which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary, is pleased to announce Nigel Wright Recruitment as an associate partner.
The agreement will see the global recruitment specialist support the Durham Oktoberfest event team to secure new exhibitors and raise its profile across a broader range of sectors in the region.
Justin Barlow, Marketing Director at Nigel Wright, said: “We’re delighted to be teaming up with Durham Oktoberfest as an associate partner.
“The event is one of the biggest in the engineering and manufacturing calendar and we believe with our database of contacts across multiple sectors, we can help open the event up to a whole new audience of potential exhibitors and visitors.
This year’s event is the tenth since Durham Oktoberfest was launched in 2008 and organisers are confident it will be the best yet.
David Land, Chairman of County Durham Engineering and Manufacturing Network (CDEMN) which organises Oktoberfest, said: “Every year we deliver an event that showcases the area’s world class strengths and capabilities within the engineering and manufacturing sectors, attracting hundreds of people from around the region and beyond.
“The challenge for us is to ensure this year, our milestone tenth anniversary, is our best yet.
“We know Oktoberfest is the perfect platform for companies to meet potential buyers and suppliers, with many securing work as a direct result of relationships they’ve forged at our event, and that’s the message Nigel Wright will be delivering to potential new exhibitors and attendees.”
This year’s Durham Oktoberfest takes place at the Xcel Centre in Newton Aycliffe on Thursday, October 19. As well as networking opportunities, there will also be themed workshops, an Education Zone for schools and colleges, an Incubation Hub for micro firms and a panel debate with regional business experts.
