SUMMARY:Affiliate Member Event: Azets Webinar | Corporation Tax Rise: How to manage the impact on companies and shareholders
DESCRIPTION:View Event \n13th June \nFor some time\, it has generally been the case that dividends have offered company owners and directors a cost effective and flexible remuneration option compared to a bonus or salary. \nHowever\, the gap between the two has narrowed and it can no longer be assumed that a simple dividend option is the most effective route to take. SUMMARY:Engineering & Manufacturing Marketers' Meet-Up
DESCRIPTION:Book Now \nMarketing is difficult for engineering and manufacturing companies – FACT \n\nThe products we sell are often complex and technical so it’s difficult to explain the benefits of products clearly and concise.\nThe target audience is small and specialised which can make it difficult to reach them with marketing messages.\nThe sales cycle can be long so it’s hard to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and evidence why the investment is worth it to a senior team.\n\nCome and join us at this event\, with like-minded professionals responsible for marketing and sales in engineering and manufacturing businesses\, to develop your practice and become more effective and efficient. \nPresentation: Building a sales and marketing strategy to support growth \nAt this session on June 7\, we’ll be hearing from Ben Moody\, Marketing Manager of Alexander Battery Technologies\, winner of the Insider Made In The North East Manufacturer of the Year (under £25 million) award… \nBuilding a Sales and Marketing strategy for growth can be difficult for any business. The goal for Alexander Battery Technologies was to drastically improve upon the pre-existing approach of the business. \nHaving been an established business for over 40 years\, 2022 was the year it needed to develop a strategy to capture the increase of electrification in industry and take the business to the next level. Growing from a single sales person to a Sales and Marketing team of 10 (and counting) Alexander Battery Technologies applied its strategy to support growth through exhibitions supported by a digital strategy to feed into campaigns. \nBen’s presentation will include: \n\nThe steps Alexander Battery Technologies took towards building its team\nWhat the team builds into its marketing plan… and why\nA review of the company’s successes with its strategy\nWhat it has learned along the way\n\n  \nThis is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the success of an innovative North East company with a rich heritage – and see the difference marketing has made to its journey. \nThe event will also include a panel session with marketing and sales specialists from across the engineering and manufacturing community. \nPeer to peer activity is proven to: \n\nImprove understanding – when you explain a concept to someone else\, you have to think about it more deeply and in a different way. This can help you to better understand the concept yourself – the power of thinking out loud!\nIncrease motivation – you are often more motivated to learn when you are working with others and creating a sense of camaraderie.\n\nEach Engineering and Manufacturing Marketers’ Meet-Up session will focus on a specialist topic or case study and is targeted at those responsible for marketing and sales\, business development\, PR\, and brand within and engineering & manufacturing setting at all levels. \nBuilding a Sales and Marketing Strategy to Support Growth

SUMMARY:Affiliate Event: Azets Webinar | What does the future for R&D tax relief look like?
DESCRIPTION:There are significant changes on the way to both the operation of and also the benefits available under the Research and Development Tax Credit schemes. The UK’s R&D tax system has been heavily debated in recent times\, with system abuses commonplace and subsequent processing delays for legitimate claims. In order to try and address some of the criticism around the scheme and to stimulate positive change\, HMRC have conducted an eight-week consultation on the potential simplification of the relief. While the results from this consultation are collated\, there seems to be a developing expectation of how the scheme will look when any agreed reform takes effect\, which may be as early as 1 April 2024.The canvassing of opinion also comes at a time when R&D relief is set to be reduced by up to 44% from 1 April 2023.Join our panel of R&D experts as they explore what the R&D tax relief system will look like from April 2023 and beyond. The presenters will also touch on tips to help maximise the tax savings on offer\, as well as how to ensure your claim is processed effectively. Our session will feature an extended Q&A session to allow for real-life situations to be explored\, so please take the opportunity to submit any questions to be discussed at this point. Questions can be submitted upon registration.

SUMMARY:Affiliate Member Event: Azets Webinar | Understanding the impact of the UK's Spring Budget and key tax planning ideas
DESCRIPTION:Webinar | Understanding the impact of the UK’s Spring Budget and key tax planning ideas\n22 March\, 12.30pm – 14.00pm\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Chancellor’s next Spring Budget announcement will be on Wednesday 15 March and there’s substantial anticipation about what direction Jeremy Hunt will take as the UK continues to battle against a recession. With inflation also still wreaking havoc for both businesses and individuals\, there are persistent calls for the Government to intervene and curtail soaring costs. At the start of this year\, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced his five ‘immediate priorities’ and halving inflation was one of these\, along with growing the economy and reducing national debt. As the Bank of England forecasts that inflation will fall quickly throughout 2023\, it’ll be interesting to see what (if any) announcements the Chancellor will make to further tackle this.Could there be more U turns as the business sentiment is that the proposed increase in corporation tax to 25% is making the UK uncompetitive on the global landscape. This is also a great time to have a careful review of both your personal and business structures. We will be covering a range of topics for business leaders and individuals designed to ensure efficient\, effective and strategic tax planning for the year aheadJoin our experts as they explore: \n\nthe key Budget announcements after the dust has settled and their possible impact on the UK business community and individuals\npreviously announced impending changes – including corporation tax increase from 19% to 25%\, effective 30% R&D tax relief decrease and the 130% plant and machinery super deduction ceasing\, and ideas that now should be explored\nstrategic tax planning tips for the year ahead – all with the aim of reducing or managing any associated liabilities and requirements.\n\nWe will also have an extended Q&A session to allow for any specific queries to be answered\, so please take the opportunity to submit any questions or areas you would like us to focus on beforehand. It may be that you are concerned about the impact of the scheduled tax rate increases or you are wondering how to maximise the tax reliefs and allowances that are available. No matter your query\, we will consider it from the perspective of ensuring tax efficiency and minimising your tax burden. Questions can be submitted upon registration.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Here
