SUMMARY:Promoted Event: Teesside University - Apprenticeship Match Making - Call for Action - Can we support you finding an apprentice?
DESCRIPTION:In conjunction with our School of Computing\, Engineering and Digital Technologies we are proposing hosting an Apprentice/Employer match making event at Teesside University. This is unique to Teesside University and an amazing opportunity for you to find an apprentice for your organisation. \nThe interest in Professional Apprenticeships is growing nationally and they provide an ideal solution to recruit\, develop and retain skills within the Engineering and Digital industries. The focus of the event would be to ‘Match’ some interested apprenticeship candidates with employers who are looking to recruit an apprentice with a view to them commencing on one of our programmes in September 2023. \nThe Aim \nThe aim is to target school/college leavers and our own undergraduates to submit expressions of interest for specific apprenticeships where we have employers who have matching apprenticeship vacancies. The candidate will have been through our robust eligibility and assessment process for the apprenticeship they are interested in. \nThe event would be an opportunity for employers to meet\, and potentially recruit/shortlist\, from a pool of viable candidates. \n  \nWhat do we need from you? \n  \nTo enable this event and make it a success we need apprenticeship roles/vacancies to offer to these candidates and a commitment to progress these onto an apprenticeship in September/October 2023. Do you have any Apprenticeship opportunities available within your organisation for the below? Or do you think you might want to look for an apprentice for next year? \n  \n\n\n\nApprenticeship Standard\nPathway\nLevel\n\n\nCivil Engineering\n\n6\n\n\nControl/Technical Support Engineer\n\n6\n\n\nElectrical/Electronic Technical Support Engineer\n\n6\n\n\nEmbedded Electronic Systems Design and Development Engineer\n\n6\n\n\nManufacturing Engineer\n\n6\n\n\nProduct Design & Development Engineer\n\n6\n\n\nDigital Technology Solutions Professional\nCyber Security\n6\n\n\nDigital Technology Solutions Professional\nSoftware Engineer\n6\n\n\nDigital Technology Solutions Professional\nData Analyst\n6\n\n\nDigital Technology Solutions Specialist\nData Analytics\n7\n\n\nDigital Technology Solutions Specialist\nIT Project Management\n7\n\n\n\n  \nIf you can support and want to be involved please let me know by Friday 21st April. \n  \nIf you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact me. \n\n\n\nRuth Chester \nHead of Apprenticeship Development & Partnerships \nEmail: r.chester@tees.ac.uk

SUMMARY:Promoted Event: Hartlepool College - The BIG Apprenticeship Event
DESCRIPTION:As a valued friend of Hartlepool College of Further Education\, I am delighted to invite you to exhibit at the BIG Apprenticeship Open Event\, to be held on Thursday 9th February. \nFor the previous ten years\, as part of National Apprenticeship Week\, our employer partners have provided information and guidance to over 10\,000 prospective apprentices and their families during this event. The feedback received from students\, parents and employers has been superb\, so naturally we intend to do exactly the same again. \nThe format is the same as previous years\, although this year we have extended the invitation list to over 80 companies\, so please make sure to confirm your attendance as soon as possible – a few specific details are below: \n\nThe Open Evening will be promoted in national and local media\, in addition to careers professionals and teachers in the sub-region;\nThe event will take place in the College atrium 5 – 8pm\, set up from 3.00pm;\nPlease feel free to bring any specific resources that would allow the visitors to ‘have a go’; we’ll also have a few College activities scattered around that are representative of our key sectors;\nNetworking\, refreshments and a welcome from our Principal and Chief Executive\, Darren Hankey\, will be provided at 4pm for our employer guests;\nThere will be a helpdesk to answer any specific questions from students on the application process / entry requirements / how to access more information\, organise tours etc;\nWe are not expecting our employer guests to make any firm offers or employment pledges on the evening – we would advise that prospective apprentices and their parents are directed to the helpdesk to access information on how to apply [either to the College or via the Government website].  Hopefully this will enable employers and students to focus on informal discussion about the rewarding opportunities an apprenticeship can bring and what it takes to become an apprentice.\n\n\nTo confirm attendance\, numbers attending and your requirements at the event\, please email Julie Clerihew julie.clerihew@hartlepoolfe.ac.uk or contact 01429 404032 by 13th January 2022. You will be able to drop off equipment at reception and car parking will be reserved for you in the college car park.  A six-foot trestle table and space for a pop-up stand will be made available to all exhibitors\, however\, please let us know if you have any additional requirements [e.g. access to an electrical socket\, room for a break-out area etc.]
