DESCRIPTION:It is undeniable that COVID-19 has had an impact on EMN members and their workforce. This can leave businesses feeling isolated and questioning how ther organisations are dealing with the situation. \nTo help with this EMN have asked one of the regions most prominent manufacturers\, Akzo Nobel to talk us through how they have dealt with the situation and what measures they have implemented for their staff and their wellbeing. \nWe also have to consider the financial wellbeing of our people and with this in mind Brewin Dolphin will present to us the financial impact and stress the current climate has had on employees and how to educate and protect your workforce with financial planning.

SUMMARY:EMN EVENT: EMCONF Driving Recovery
DESCRIPTION:Following what has been a most extraordinary year we are now hopefully all thinking ahead to better times and moving towards the new normal. \nOver the last 6 months\, EMN have worked with its members on a range of support initiatives to help them manage their way through the various obstacles that COVID has presented. So that now begs the question as to how we can move forward and what is being done to support this by the various agencies available in the North East\, or to put it another way how do we ‘Drive Recovery’ beyond where we find ourselves now. \nHaving determined that our annual EMCON Show may not be viable in October this year we moved the date to March 8th 2021\, allowing sufficient time for confidence in our sector to build and peoples personal confidence to return. However\, when making our decision to delay we decided to hold the original EMCON date of Thursday\, October 8th and create a webinar designed specifically to help us in our current situation and discuss the process of recovery. \nWe are therefore very pleased to launch our first ‘Driving Recovery’ webinar for the region\, created by industry experts\, sme business owners and of course our strategic partners. \nPlease join us at 10am on October 8th via ZOOM and hear from professionals who can support your business. \nhttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/89268623171 \nThe morning will consist of a discussion between the North East and Tees Valley Local Enterprise Partnerships as to their part in supporting the recovery process\, how the local authorities are driving regeneration and recovery and our keynote which will be announced very shortly! \nWe also want to present the opportunity for you to ask pertinent questions and as such will be seeking these in advance from attendees and via the Zoom comments forum on the day. \nWe look forward to seeing you all and continuing to help you in your journey.
