We can consider what we do from here in our workplaces as Engineering / Science professionals and as members of the public in our everyday. All welcome. \nLOCATION \nThe venue has kindly been supplied by the Materials Processing Institute. This venue has plenty of free parking. We are in the Fitzgerald Room. Full address: Eston Road\, Middlesbrough\, TS6 6US \nTIME \nWe look forward to seeing you in person on 24th May – please come early for a prompt 6pm start. His goal is to ensure oceans\, coasts and inland waterways are never forgotten in NHS net zero planning as without healthy oceans\, it is impossible to tackle the climate crisis successfully. \n  \nJudy Power\, Project Manager\, Tees Rivers Trust \nTees Rivers Trust has been working to improve water quality and habitat along the river Tees since 2009. More recently the Trust has established a mariculture facility in Hartlepool to house a terrestrial seagrass nursery. The Trust will reintroduce seagrass to the estuary with a long term ambition of providing a natural way of sequestering carbon. Alongside the seagrass work\, the Trust has also recently installed cages at Hartlepool marina for native oysters and is looking to undertake seabed restoration work in the estuary as a nature based solution to improve water quality. \nJudy will give a short presentation on the benefits of natural solutions and the work of Tees Rivers Trust in the estuary. \n  \nThe event will be hosted by the Founding Chair of Engineering Together\, Paula McMahon.
