Overview
Our team was tasked with manufacturing a hinge bracket, an integral component for a tree-felling forestry machine destined for Northern Scandinavia. Operating in extreme environments required the part to be exceptionally durable and precise, meeting stringent industry standards.
Our Approach
The hinge bracket was manufactured using high-grade S460NL steel, chosen for its excellent strength and resilience. Every stage of the process was carefully managed to ensure the highest standards:
- Fabrication and Welding: The bracket was carefully fabricated and welded in-house, adhering to strict quality standards.
- Machining: Advanced machining processes ensured that the final component achieved the precise tolerances necessary for its integration into the forestry machine.
- Testing: The white welded areas of the fabrication underwent comprehensive ultrasonic testing (UT), conducted by a specialist subcontractor, to ensure structural integrity and compliance with the rigorous standards required for such demanding applications.
The Outcome
The completed hinge bracket was delivered as part of a larger fabricated assembly, built to withstand the demands of forestry operations in harsh environments, the component reflects our commitment to quality, precision, and long-term performance.
