In the fast-changing world of moving goods, NEPS Logistics has become a well recognised, regional firm, marking a decade of shaping how we tackle supply chain challenges. Founded in 2014 as a family business under the leadership of Managing Director Dan Gray, NEPS Logistics has evolved into a vibrant force, combining efficiency with a commitment to brilliant customer service.

Zanda Johnson at Unipres said – “We have worked with NEPS since 2022; they provide unmatched courier services weekly, which helps us with time-critical production. This is crucial for our business as NEPS helps us meet important deadlines. They always offer a professional service that is easy to work with and is always on time. We look forward to working with NEPS on future projects.”

As the company celebrates its 10-year anniversary, it stands tall with a fleet of over 50 vehicles and a team of more than 60 members. Working seamlessly across the region, wider UK and into mainland Europe, NEPS Logistics continues to create new benchmarks in the industry.

Originally starting out as a Service Partner to industry giants such as Yodel, FedEx, DHL, Evri, and TNT, the business now specialises in time-critical, same-day delivery services. As an essential partner for businesses in the automotive, engineering, and manufacturing sectors, they offer expertise in the transportation of pallets, crates, machinery and vital parts.

The move into time-critical deliveries was sparked by an opportunity recognised by Dan Gray in 2017 when one driver faced mobility challenges, rendering him unable to handle multidrop deliveries. Seizing the chance to innovate, this side of the business has flourished ever since, with this team member still an integral part of the company today.

Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the business is proud to guarantee a fully tracked and secure service by dedicating each van exclusively to the goods of a single client. This unique approach not only ensures the safety of shipments but also guarantees confidentiality, a critical aspect when handling commercially sensitive and valuable cargo.

Key to NEPS Logistics success is their growing client base, which includes manufacturers such as Unipres, Atlas Copco and Osbit to name but a select few, with these partnerships reflecting the trust that industry leaders place in the business.

Dan Gray, Founder and Managing Director commented, “Our success is not just measured in miles covered or goods delivered; it’s in the trust our clients place in us to safeguard their reputation through reliable and efficient logistics. We’ve adapted to the ever-changing demands of the industry to become a key part of our clients’ supply chain. Across the automotive, engineering and manufacturing sectors in particular, having a logistics partner is crucial. Time-critical deliveries are paramount for production efficiency, enabling the rapid transportation of goods and parts.”

As part of its commitment to unrivalled customer service, NEPS Logistics has strategically positioned itself on Gateshead’s Team Valley Trading Estate, with close links to the A1, A19 and Port of Tyne. This prime location provides the business with a strategic advantage in the movement of goods both regionally and nationally.

Collaborating closely with major freight forwarders across the UK, NEPS Logistics has also recently expanded into truck operations. This allows the business to accommodate larger-scale shipments and heavier loads, offering clients additional services.

A very noteworthy achievement however, came in 2018, where the business was selected to serve the British Royal Family, transporting a delivery from Durham to an undisclosed location in Scotland, a great testament to their competence in handling highly sensitive cargo.

Looking back on a decade of accomplishments, the business stands proud, recognising the milestones reached and impact made. Now focused on the next 10 years, the growing firm is set for continued success in shaping the future of logistics and supply chain management in the region and beyond.
