B2B marketing company Horizon Works is now supporting Engineering and Manufacturing Network with public relations and content marketing activity.

We commissioned Horizon Works, which is an affiliate and long-standing member of EMN, to help us promote our extensive events programme, our membership benefits and our flagship EMCON event, which takes place on September 14 at Rainton Arena in Houghton-le-Spring.

Horizon Works also supported us with PR and social media activity in the run up to our Engineers and Manufacturers Assemble event at Rainton Arena on April 21, which saw 124 EMN members and non-members learn about our plans for the future and enjoy breakfast and networking.

In addition, Horizon Works has helped us to renew our core messaging.

Horizon Works, which is based at Northumberland Business Park near Cramlington, supports innovators in complex industries and offers a wide range of integrated marketing services across strategy, PR, design and digital.

A member of the network for several years, Horizon Works has supported EMCON as a silver sponsor.

In 2021, the company joined our affiliate programme and since then, it has delivered a series of popular Marketing Lunch and Learn events at engineering and manufacturing facilities across the North East, including Komatsu UK, Gestamp Tallent Ltd, AkzoNobel and The Expanded Metal Company.

Our new events programme, which was announced at Engineers and Manufacturers Assemble, was created to help strengthen the network and provide knowledge and support for members.

As part of that programme, Horizon Works will be leading a regular Engineering and Manufacturing Marketers’ Meet Up for EMN, which will see marketing, business development and sales staff from engineering and manufacturing companies meet to discuss challenges and opportunities, and share expert guidance and insight.

Samantha Vassallo, Managing Director of Horizon Works, said: “We are very excited to be working more closely with the EMN team and to be supporting them with PR and content marketing activity.

“We have greatly enjoyed building our relationship with EMN and its membership over the last few years. We’re able to draw from this insight – plus our long track record of marketing for businesses in the engineering and manufacturing sector – to promote the organisation’s membership offering and events.

“We are greatly looking forward to seeing the new events programme make a real impact for everyone across the engineering and manufacturing community, and we can’t wait to experience EMCON in its new home of Rainton Arena!”

Ailsa Anderson, Director of Development of EMN, said: “It’s fantastic to have Horizon Works on board as a marketing partner as we roll out our events programme and build up to EMCON 2023.

“We’ve enjoyed working with Samantha and the team in Horizon Works capacity as an EMN affiliate and look forward to developing this partnership even further his year.”
