Tech Projects appoints new Project Engineer following recent growth

Specialist stainless steel fabricator Tech Projects has bolstered its project design capabilities with the appointment of experienced project engineer.

Based at an extensive and well-equipped site in Felling, Gateshead, Tech Projects designs and manufactures conveyor systems as well as manufacturing and installing structural access and material handling solutions.

Stuart Huntley has been appointed as a Project Engineer and will work alongside Project Engineers Mick Sinclair and Mark Walt as part of Tech Projects’ in-house design team.

The company has seen a surge in demand for its services and Stuart’s appointment will support the company in measuring and drawing up new projects in a range of industries.

Stuart graduated from Huddersfield University in 2014 with a BSc in Motorsport Technology before working within the North East engineering sector, gaining experience across the heavy steel manufacturing and food processing industries.

Tech Projects has more than 20 years’ experience and is an established UK manufacturer of specialist conveyor systems. The company’s long history of creating bespoke conveyor solutions for clients means that it has a deep insight into the needs of manufacturing and processing operations.

Commenting on his new role, Stuart Huntley, Project Engineer at Tech Projects, said: “I really enjoy meeting clients, understanding their requirements and coming up with suitable and effective solutions. I love seeing a project develop from the initial stages of the measuring up and drawings, to seeing the project on the shop floor and through installation.

“I see a lot of potential at Tech Projects, they are a great team and I am looking forward to working with them and developing relationships with their existing customers as well as prospective clients.”

Michael Donachie, General Manager at Tech Projects added: “We decided to take on Stuart as we have seen a continued increase in our order book, which looks set to continue. As a result, we needed to bring someone in to increase our resource capacity, but also someone who has experience working in relevant industries, so that they can fully understand the challenges and pain points that our customers face and are able to shape effective solutions.

“Stuart has fitted in well with our team and I look forward to see him working with our customers.”

As part of the Go2 Engineering Group, Tech Projects can draw on the complementary capabilities of a number of nationwide companies to offer a wide range of engineering services to industry, including non-destructive testing products and equipment, hydraulic fixtures, manual fixtures and machine tooling.
