Great Annual Savings Group (GAS) has once again expanded its B2B customer offering by teaming up with a fellow County Durham business.

Shredding expert Shred Base deals with secure, GDPR-compliant document and product disposal for businesses across the UK.

GAS will use the new partnership to enhance its long-standing waste management service, which previously had focused mainly on material waste.  But this extra element will offer businesses more options when it comes to dealing with confidential documents and information.

James Henderson, Contracts Manager at GAS, said: “We’ve worked with more than 5,000 businesses across the UK and Ireland now and this has given us an excellent grounding in figuring out new areas in which we can generate savings.

“We were paying for confidential waste disposal ourselves and switched to Shred Base to reduce spend and improve service, which is something we can now offer our customers, as well as improving the management of other types of commercial waste.

“We’ve been impressed with Shred Base’s entry into the market and wouldn’t hesitate in working with them to help our clients save more, on more.  We’re increasingly encouraging businesses to address their running costs strategically and this will become part of that conversation.  You can even generate revenue from certain types of waste, so there’s more to it than you might think.”

Thomas Gibson, Commercial Director of Shred Base, said: “We’re thrilled to be teaming up with GAS, who are building a real reputation for quality consultancy in business savings.  Which is ideal for us because we’re extremely competitive on price.

“We’re relatively new as a company, but we are one of the most experienced companies in the market in terms of personnel, with more than 30 years in the industry.

“We hold all the relevant accreditations to deal with waste of the highest confidentiality, including ISO9001, 14001 and 45001.  We’re also flexible about where and when we can dispose of confidential waste.  We can do it on-site for customers if required.

“We’re looking forward to spending more time with the experts at GAS and working with some of their customers.”

GAS previously expanded its portfolio as recently as March 2019 when it launched an Electric Vehicle (EV) charging point service, taking its total number of cost saving areas to 13.
